Global Frontline is a team with experiences forged in global humanitarian operations, high altitude climbing and military special operations.

WHERE IT BEGAN: From car bombings to meeting Yasser Arafat and making it to the summit of Mount Everest, Mark ‘Squiz’ Squirrell OAM had experienced more than many of us can dream about.

Squiz was awarded the coveted “Green Beret” whilst serving with the Australian Commando’s. His tenure with the military provided him with the skills and courage to succeed amongst adversity and turmoil. It was the perfect grounding for a career as an International Aid Worker. Squiz escorted food convoys through the Gaza Strip, negotiated with the Liberation Tigers of Tamel Eelam (Tamil Tigers) and brokered deals with Somali Clansmen to ensure the safe delivery of United Nations food aid. In doing so, he has mastered the challenges of performing under pressure, communicating effectively and building relationships.

Squiz returned to Australia in 2008 and published a book titled From Arafat to Everest whilst establishing Global Frontline Pty Ltd.  In 2013 he was joined full time by his wife, Ingrid Squirrell, who is keeping the place in order.  Ingrid assists with training but predominately provides back-end services to ensure the training is delivered without a glitch.  She has lived and travelled extensively overseas and worked for over 15 years with the Victorian Department of Human Services before joining Global Frontline.

Global Frontline jumped at the opportunity to begin using Virtual Reality technology as a training tool to enhance its situational awareness and behavioural training in 2015. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and the inevitable shut down of face to face training, Global Frontline pivoted for 18 months to directly respond to the ensuing crisis. Global Frontline’s training room was converted into an Operations Centre and the Equipment Shed morphed into a warehouse as the team rolled out testing, quarantining and vaccination services.

AND HERE WE ARE: In 2022, we are back! Back on the frontline doing what we love; creatively using training to maximise the performance of your people.

Global Frontline has a network of associates that it draws upon when conducting training. Our associates share our values.

Our Values

Adversity allows us to grow.

We thrive on providing unpredictable, unique and challenging experiences because our knowledge stems from enduring extreme adversity.

Communication is the key.

90% of issues are resolved through effective listening, body language and verbiage. We are committed to building communication strategies and tips into all of our trainings.

Integrity.

We’ve seen the worst in human behaviour whilst in war zones. Being honest, fair and respectful on all levels is how we roll.

Committed to the cause, regardless.

The harder it gets, the more determined we will be to succeed. We will do whatever it takes to meet your training objectives.

The team trumps the individual.

“A team is only as strong as its weakest member” is rubbish! If the strong help the weak, then the team can operate at the pace of the teams average. We are on your team to elevate your frontline performance.

Always thinking strategically.

Understanding and working towards your bigger picture will always be at the forefront of our approach. We pass this on during our training experiences so that you move from being a market leader to leading the market!
